What Is ChaCha20?
A modern stream cipher, equivalent in strength to AES-256 but faster on many devices.
ChaCha20, usually paired with Poly1305 for authentication, is a modern encryption algorithm that offers a comparable security level to AES-256, but runs faster on processors without dedicated hardware acceleration (such as many mobile phones).
