What Is Exploit?

Code or a technique that takes advantage of a specific security flaw to gain access or control.

An exploit is the specific tool or piece of code that takes advantage of a known (or zero-day) weakness in software or hardware, allowing an attacker to gain unauthorized access, execute code, or cause damage.
