What Is Session Hijacking?
Stealing an active session cookie to gain access to an account without a password.
When you log into a service, you receive a session cookie that proves you are already logged in. In session hijacking, an attacker intercepts this cookie - often on an unsecured network - and uses it to access your account without knowing your password.
