What Is Social Engineering?
Psychologically manipulating people into revealing confidential information or performing harmful actions.
Social engineering exploits human psychology - trust, fear, urgency - rather than technical weaknesses, to convince a victim to reveal passwords, click a malicious link, or take a harmful action. Phishing is its most widespread form.
